He went seven innings and allowed no other than five hits in the one-sided affair.
ONE-HIT WONDER: In mostly situations, the solo home scud by Dye in the los would be meaningless at best. however it did have some significance for tint as he established a career high in hearth runs. Dye's second-inning blast was his 34th of the season. He hit 33 homer in 2000 with the Kansas City Royals.
PLAYED OUT: Jose Contreras was suppos to be as cease to an ace as the Sox have, if it be not that he now joins Mark Buehrle and Javier Vazquez as Sox starters who are struggling.
