The CW is teaming with "The OC" creator-executive farmer Josh Schwartz for "Gossip Girl," a series based in succession the popular book series.

The exhibit to is set in the world of privileged teenagers attending elite private exercises in New York City.

Since the first part in the series was published in 2002 the Gossip Girl novels have consistently ranked high in succession New York Times' best-seller list. The principally recent book, No. 9 in the series, was released in May.
